Postulate 4.1.1 Polygon Congruence Postulate

Two Polygons are congruent if and only if there is a way of setting up a congruence between their sides and angles, in order, such that (1) each pair of corresponding angles is congruent (2) each pair of corresponding sides is congruent.

Postulaten 4.2.1 Side Side Side Postulate

If the sides of one triangle are congruent to the sides of another triangle, then the two triangles are congruent.

AAS Postulate: When two angles and a side are congruent

HL Postulate: Only involving right triangles, the hypoteni are congruent and one of the legs

When the sides of a triangle are extended , other angles we need to identify are formed. The 3 original angles are interior angles. The angles formed by extending the side are called exterior angles.
  • When classifying a triangle, you need to be as specific as possible.
Triangle Sum Theorem
The sum of all the measurement of the interior angles of a triangle is 180 degrees.
Exterior Angles Theorem
The measurement (measure) of an exterior angle of a triangle is equal to the sum of the measure of the two non - adjacent.
